The Shangri La Diet: The No Hunger Eat Anything Weight-Loss Plan. Sounds brilliant, doesn't it? If we really could eat anything and lose weight, there wouldn't be a weight problem in the world. There would be no obesity to worry about, and no health problems related to being overweight.
Obviously, there's more than meets the eye in this popular book. The diet is based on "drinking fat to lose weight". Yes, you read that right. Although drinking oil does not sound appetizing, the author, Seth Roberts, does share a way to drink oil easily.
Dieters who follow this plan can eat nearly anything they want during their regular meals, while drinking bland sugar water or edible oil between meals. The idea behind this controversial plan is that it will affect the connection between the taste of foods and their calories. After a bit, someone who is consistently following the Shangri La Diet will lose weight as well as the desire to eat large amounts of high calorie foods.
While no diet will work for everyone, the reviews on Amazon are quite good for this diet book. If you decide to follow the Shangri La Diet, remember that there is no magic weight loss cure. You will still need to reduce you daily caloric intake to lose weight permanently.
