Anyone who has watched the Biggest Loser on television knows her hard-ass attitude and no-nonsense training style. I always though that I would rather be on her team because of the major results she gets from the competitors. She doesn't just "ask" for big changes, she expects them. And you can expect the same determination from her DVD's.
The 30 Day Shred has 3 workouts on one DVD. Each workout is approximately 25 minutes long. Even though the workouts are short, they are extremely effective.
The workouts follow her 3-2-1 technique: 3 minutes of weight training, 2 minutes of cardio, and one minute of ab work. This is a very effective way to workout that keeps your heartrate racing the entire time.
The workouts are intended to be performed once a day for 30 days to see big results. You'll start with Level 1 for 10 days, move on to Level 2 for the next 10 days, and then end with 10 days of Level 3.
People who "graduate" from the 30 Day Shred will typically continue to do this butt-kicking workout by doing Level 1 and Level 2 together (for a total 40 minute workout), or Level 2 and Level 3 for some harder fun.
If you don't mind sweating a lot and yelling at your television when Jillian tells you to keep going…then you will love this workout. If you prefer to keep things at an easier pace, then you may want to try a DVD that is geared more towards beginners. While 30 Day Shred is extrememly effective, it does require a lot of endurance to keep up.
